Well, they have Moo III on GOG, and I've been pouring over that site with all the mods for it a bit It looks like a decent enough game if you take it with a grain of salt, I'll consider buying it when it goes on sale next (can't go far wrong with only a few euros). With the mods to correct some of the obvious problems with the game like Bhuric's patches (gotten probably from the Master of Orion forums website home page or somewhere on that site.
#IMPERIUM GALACTICA 2 PATCH 1.08 WINDOWS 7#
There is also MOO 3 which I guess works also on Windows 7 computers, don't know about the above ones, since I still have my Windows XP computer.Īnd player's improvements made to that game. Look up the game individually if wanting to know about any of the three. Usually can be found as UFO:Trilogy maybe somewhere to buy if wanting to. Although I have it I never played it, and Aftermath was just okay, but in one mission hard very hard to get through it. I played UFO:Afterlight the most, but still they are just okay and Aftershock may or may not work on a computer due to whatever). (and the patches needed also for the games. The first one is UFO:Aftermath and then came UFO:Aftershock - all made essentially for Windows XP. UFO Trilogy although UFO:Afterlight is the best one and the last one. Good, tricky AI opponents are a must as well! It really doesn't matter if the game is realtime or turnbased. I'm not a very demanding person in regard to graphics or UI's (something 4x games tend to trip over sometimes), so it's no problem if the game looks a bit dated, or if it takes a bit of getting used to the UI's quirks before you're happily zipping arround the different windows. I would prefer if you wouldn't suggest the latest most prominent titles, like galactic civs III or endless legends, because I have to run all my games on an aspire X3910 (unmodified), and it can hardly manage Civ 5 on lowest settings in a 1024*768 window and with a small world :p. Of all these, I find that Armada hits just the right spot in general, although each of these games have their own tinge and each has its own pros and cons. I'll make a short list of titles I already own below Īge of Wonders Shadow Magic (if you consider it being a 4x game, but it has always had that feel to me)
